This grimoire is made entirely by hand using traditional bookbinding techniques. Italian full-grain leather, natural obsidian, and archival paper give it a distinctive finish and a lasting purpose: preserving the words you choose to keep.
✨ Leather and Cover Details
The cover is bound in Italian full-grain leather, which retains the natural grain and texture of the hide. With time, the leather develops a patina, adding depth to its rich red color.
A natural black obsidian mirror sits at the center of the cover within a raised leather frame. Four black inlays bearing gold-colored archangel sigils surround it. Raised geometric details, metal corners, and a decorative metal fitting on the side complete the design.
The black page edges echo the obsidian and contrast with the red leather.
📜 Paper and Binding
Inside are 600 pages — 300 leaves — of Danish archival paper, 100 gsm. The acid-free paper is intended for long-term preservation, providing room for years of notes, drawings, and discoveries.
The textured endpapers are Napura® Khepera by Winter & Company, Switzerland. The binding uses Schmedt® materials from Germany and acid-free Planatol® adhesives.
These materials are chosen with lasting quality in mind, for a book that can become part of your family’s history.
🔮 A Book for Your Practice
Use the grimoire as a Book of Shadows, a personal journal, or a record of rituals, tarot readings, dreams, herbal knowledge, and symbols.
The obsidian mirror can also be used for scrying, a form of divination that involves gazing into a reflective surface.
🖋️ Craftsmanship and Certificate
Each grimoire is bound and decorated by hand. It comes with a certificate of authenticity bearing an individual serial number, the year of creation, and the maker’s signature.
Natural variations in the leather’s grain, tone, and texture give each cover its own character.
